The moment before everything
changes.

You've planned the question. I'll make sure the answer — and everything that happens after — is captured exactly as it felt.

Proposals & Engagements · Michigan

Two of the most important moments in your relationship.
Both deserve to be documented.

A proposal is unrepeatable. The look on your face, the way your hands shake, the tears neither of you planned for — those seconds exist once. My job is to be invisible until they happen, and then make sure nothing is missed.

An engagement session is different. It's the first time you're in front of a camera as an engaged couple — and it should feel easy.

Not a photoshoot you have to perform for.
Just you, the people you're becoming together, and images that reflect exactly that.
No stiff posing or forced smiles. wondering what to do with your hands.

You won't spend your session wondering what to do. You'll spend it being in it.

What To Expect When You Book a Proposal or Engagement Session

  • Tell me what you're envisioning — even if it's still forming. Date, and location ideas.

  • For proposals, we map the logistics together so nothing is left to chance. Positioning, timing, backup plans, the works.

  • Contract and retainer lock in your date. For proposals, I keep everything completely confidential — your partner won't find out from me.

  • You focus on the moment. I handle everything else. Quietly, professionally, and completely out of the way until I need to be in it.

  • A curated gallery delivered to you. Cinematic, personal, and exactly as it felt.

Things People Usually Ask

  • We coordinate everything through you only — your partner's name never appears in any correspondence unless you want it to. I'm used to operating discreetly, and I take that seriously. Whatever the plan, I follow your lead completely.

  • It happens occasionally, and it's always fine. Most people assume a nearby photographer is shooting something unrelated. I position myself to look like part of the environment, not like I'm watching them. We'll also talk through positioning during our planning conversation.

  • It's genuinely useful — not just for the photos, but because it means your wedding day isn't the first time we've worked together. You'll already know how I direct, how the session flows, and how to settle in quickly. That translates directly to better images on the day itself.

  • That's actually the ideal starting point. Most of my direction is movement-based rather than pose-based — walk here, look at each other, do what feels natural. The goal is to create an environment where you forget you're being photographed, not to produce a series of poses you have to hold.

  • For proposals, as far in advance as possible — especially if you have a specific date or location in mind. Weekends during peak seasons book quickly. For engagement sessions, a few weeks is usually enough, though earlier is always better if you have a wedding date and want to tie the two together.

  • Yes. A place that already means something to you almost always produces better images than a generic beautiful backdrop. Tell me what you're thinking and we'll make it work.
